Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has announced that Ukrainian forces have recaptured the strategically important village of Klishchiivka, located on the southern flank of the key frontline city of Bakhmut. This announcement was made in his nightly video address on a Sunday.

Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar shared a video on social media showing Ukrainian forces displaying the blue and yellow national flag of Ukraine in Klishchiivka, with damaged buildings and the sounds of ongoing fighting in the background. Maliar also mentioned that despite the liberation of Klishchiivka, Russia was still attempting to regain lost positions in the region.
